WORKSHOP SCOPE

The workshop is for utility personnel only and will focus on current issues related to overhead line inspection, maintenance and management. Specifically, you will be presented with approaches to line inspection, assessment, and restoration through discussion and demonstration of tools and methods by which to enhance inspection and maintenance programs including: 

• facilities mapping

• methods for quantifying and tracking component conditions, and

• wood pole treatments. 

A utility perspective regarding maintenance practices and planning is included in the program. The Workshop will address transmission line design, including specification requirements. A full-scale destructive test of utility line components will be conducted. 

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

Attendance at two-day workshop, workshop notebook, two lunches and four breaks.
