OUR PRODUCTS

At EDM International, we create innovative products that help utilities work smarter and safer. Built for precision and performance, EDM products give utilities the insight and confidence to strengthen reliability and reduce risk in the field.

PHASE IDENTIFICATION

Which one is right for your needs?

Ensure correct phasing every time, with confidence.

Utilities face major risks when phases are mislabeled, circuits are looped incorrectly or loads are unbalanced. Our advanced phase-identification solution delivers accurate, real-time phase and phase-angle readings for energized equipment from 0.5 V up to 500 kV, and underground cables from 10 A to 600 A—whether overhead, underground or indoors.

With portable, rugged field units that capture and store data even in low-signal zones, you’ll improve load balancing, reduce downtime, avoid equipment damage, and map with certainty.

The AP30 Standard and AP30 Atomic field units are no longer manufactured, however the systems are still supported.

PHASETRAKKER JR+

The next generation of the PhaseTrakker line, the Jr+ does it all. Indoor or outdoor function. 0.5V to 500kV voltage phase measurements and UG cables from 10A-600A.

Applications: Relay test switches, recloser controllers, underground cable, substation buswork, pad-mount switchgear, overhead lines, single-phase meters.

PHASETRAKKER JR standard

The original PhaseTrakker Jr, perfect for outdoor phasing. 120V to 500kV voltage phase measurements.

Applications: overhead lines, substation buswork, pad-mount switchgear, 120V outlets, single-phase meters.

CONDUCTOR
CLEANING

Logo with a power line tower and the words "Conductors Clean".

ConductaClean® is a reliable, cost-effective system for cleaning the ends of overhead conductors prior to compression splicing.

ConductaClean® is an easy-to-use system that gives T & D line crews the capability to thoroughly clean aluminum conductors in much less time than traditional hand-cleaning methods. Its compact and portable design allows linemen to operate wherever the splice is most efficiently made - on the ground or up in a bucket.

POLE DAMAGE
ANALYSIS

D-Calc provides inspectors and engineers a toll to quickly evaluate the effect of damage on a pole’s strength.

In the past, pole adequacy assessments were typically based on average remaining shell thickness or reduced circumference measurements. D-Calc allows the user to input pole properties and “draw” a representation of the damage observations, which it then uses to calculate the percent remaining strength based on section modulus.

AVIAN COLLISION
AVOIDANCE SYSTEM (ACAS)

The Avian Collision Avoidance System (ACAS) offers a new approach to reducing avian collision mortality with suspended obstacles (power lines, towers, turbines).

BIRD STRIKE INDICATOR (bsi)

The Bird Strike Indicator (BSI) is an automated, cost-effective tool for continuous detection and recording of bird collisions on power and communication lines.
